Hong Jong-hyun "No work experience"
Hong Jong-hyun revealed that he focused on showing natural acting in the office water 'Race'.

On the 23rd, at a cafe in Sogyeok-dong, Seoul, I met actor Hong Jong-hyun, who appeared in the Disney+ original series 'Race'. Hong Jong-hyun takes on the role of Ryu Jae-min, the ace of a large corporation who knows how to enjoy a work-life balance.

Hong Jong-hyun, who took on the challenge of an office work for the first time, said, "I thought that acting should be natural so that viewers can sympathize with the familiar genre. I thought that was important. I also tried to act comfortably on set."

Ryu Jae-min in the play is a person who values work-life balance. Hong Jong-hyun said, "I thought it would be nice to clearly show the difference between how I look when I'm working at the company and when I meet friends. I thought it would stand out more when Jaemin rushes into work later or changes when he jumps in. At first, he was cynical. It's not as far as 'Can I just do it?' They show the same attitude."

Hong Jong-hyun revealed that he drew the character by asking friends at work. He said, "Because I've never experienced it, I asked my office workers about simple things like what their daily routine was like while living in a company and what they thought about working. It wasn't too different from what I thought. I thought that all people are similar." Then, he said, "There were friends who worked without putting their heart into it like Jaemin, there were friends who worked fun without stress, and there were friends like Jaemin who seemed to be highly efficient."

Hong Jong-hyun confessed that filming the dinner scene was difficult. He said, “Jaemin is an office worker, so there are a lot of scenes where he goes out and drinks. At first, I was very worried. He continued, "The more we filmed, the more natural it became. In the second half, there is an emotional scene that reveals Jaemin's sincerity. Prior to that, Jaemin was casually talking and talking about something. I paid attention to that part because it showed Jaemin's emotions." said.

'Race' is an office work in which Park Yoon-jo (played by Lee Yeon-hee), who has no qualifications but has a passion for a contract job at a large company, is caught up in a recruitment scandal and struggles to survive at work. Starting from the last 10 days, two episodes are being released every Wednesday.
