Hong Jong-hyun "Lee Yeon-hee has a thirst for acting"
Recently, I met actor Hong Jong-hyun, who appeared in the Disney+ original series 'Race', at a cafe in Sogyeok-dong, Seoul. Hong Jong-hyun takes on the role of Ryu Jae-min, the ace of a large corporation who knows how to enjoy a work-life balance.
Through this work, Hong Jong-hyun and Lee Yeon-hee were able to work together as 'close friends'. Lee Yeon-hee took on the role of Park Yoon-jo, who worked at a small public relations agency and joined a large company as a contract employee through the non-discriminatory recruitment 'Spec Out Project'.
Hong Jong-hyun said, "(Lee Yeon-hee) is an older sister, but she was comfortable like a friend. Actress Kim Ye-eun, who appears as another best friend in the play, is also an older sister. I'm the youngest, but I filmed comfortably." He continued, "Before the filming started, we had a lot of time to read the script and meet up. We talked about the script, ate, and had a drink. The three of us had a comfortable relationship before the filming. I am grateful for the position. It was fun when I started filming in a comfortable and familiar state, so I filmed scenes with friends."
Regarding Lee Yeon-hee, who is currently taking on various projects, Hong Jong-hyun said, “My sister has been active for a long time and is not pretty. I think I had no choice but to play characters that started from there. Then, he admired, "Isn't this character played by my sister also an active character? I thought that he played such a role well. It's just that I haven't had a chance to show a colorful image, but I thought that he would express it well when given the opportunity." .
'Race' is an office work in which Park Yoon-jo (played by Lee Yeon-hee), who has no qualifications but has a passion for a contract job at a large company, is caught up in a recruitment scandal and struggles to survive at work.
