Actor Woo Do-hwan revealed why he chose the Netflix series 'Hounds'.

On the morning of the 7th, the production presentation of the Netflix series 'Hounds' was held at the Naru Ballroom on the 2nd floor of MGallery in Hotel Naru Seoul. Actors Woo Do-hwan, Lee Sang, Park Sung-woong, and director Kim Joo-hwan attended the event.

'Hounds' is a story about two young men caught up in the world of loan sharks, where money comes before people's lives, risking their lives against a huge evil force. It is based on the Naver webtoon of the same name.

Woo Do-hwan plays the role of Geon-wu. Geon-woo is an honest and innocent young boxer. Her mother, who ran a small cafe with repeated losses, gets caught up in the scam of illegal moneylenders and prepares to punish the black forces.

On this day, Woo Do-hwan explained about 'Hounds', "It's a story with a lot of action fighting against them risking their lives to protect their family and friends." He said, "I was drawn to a different point from other action dramas and action series. I wanted to try it because I had to do it from start to finish with boxing. I was attracted to what kind of pleasure would come when this was filmed. That’s why I was most attracted to that point.”

Woo Do-hwan reunited with director Kim Joo-hwan after a long time since the movie 'Lion'. He said, "I kept my promise (with director Kim Joo-hwan). It wasn't easy. Six months before I was discharged, the director only sent me three letters saying 'sent'. I thought, 'What did you send?' I had infinite trust in my brother (director Kim Joo-hwan) since 'Lion'. I was gaslighted by my brother and thought, 'You can do this kind of action?' It made me laugh.

Director Kim Joo-hwan said, "Actor Woo Do-hwan continued to prepare even while he was in the army. Hearing that he practiced because he is an actor who uses his body well, it's hard to see someone so devoted, but he led him well on set. He gave me courage because he implemented action with his whole body." expressed affection.

'Hounds' will be released in 190 countries around the world through Netflix on the 9th.
