Lee Do-hyun, who is about to enlist, instead of a date with Lim Ji-yeon, "Take a vocal lesson"

"I got to sing Si-kyung Sung's 'Two People' song in the play, so I practiced it because it was written in the script. Singing was really difficult. On the 12th, an interview with JTBC's 'Bad Mother' Lee Do-hyun was held at a cafe located in Eonju Station, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Lee Do-hyun boasted a wide acting spectrum by going back and forth between a high school student and a cold-blooded prosecutor in 'Bad Mother'.

He took on a new challenge with a new character for each work. He has built up his skills in acting by appearing in 'Smart Prison Life', 'Thirty but Seventeen', 'Hotel Del Luna', '18 Again', 'Sweet Home', 'Youth in May' and 'The Glory'. In this work, he plays the role of a cool-headed prosecutor and a 7-year-old intelligent child at the same time.

Lee Do-hyun said, “It was a big challenge to return to the intelligence of a 7-year-old at the age of 29. Prosecutor Choi Kang-ho is 37 years old. It was my first time acting as a prosecutor, so I had a lot of worries.”

'Bad Mother' boasted overwhelming viewer ratings and topicality, putting Lee Do-hyun's worries to shame. 'Bad Mother', which started with 3.5% per episode based on nationwide paid households, recorded 12% in the final episode, making it a box office success.

When a work is a box office success, only the acting ability of each actor does not affect the success of the play. It is also important how good the chemistry between those who breathe together is shown. The 'Bad Mother' team, centered around the great senior Ra Mi-ran, has all of the junior actors, supporting actors, and child actors all united as one.

Lee Do-hyun said, "Just looking at Ra Mi-ran's eyes made me feel very dreamy. The person who made the set like a playground." I wanted to go, but it didn't go well because of greed and pressure. Ra Mi-ran is usually really bright, but when the camera rolls, he changes suddenly. Thanks to this, I wondered if I could continue acting for a long time after this work, "he expressed his gratitude.

He continued, "The hardest thing was filming the scene where Ra Mi-ran dies in the play. Tears came out a lot like a crybaby. Whenever that happened, the senior made fun of me by saying, 'I cry again, I cry again'. When I told him not to cry, the tears came out even more. The power given by senior Ra Mi-ran was too strong.”

What kind of filmography will 'Bad Mother' remain for Lee Do-hyun? Lee Do-hyun said, "It's a work that has a new mother. Another mother. He opened a new path." "If I were a tree, it would feel like a new branch was born. Since you made branches, I think you should bloom on your own. I am happy that we met and came up with a good process and results that matched it.”

Born in 1995, Lee Do-hyun is about to enlist in the military this year. He recently had an overseas fan meeting and desperately wanted to meet Korean fans. He said he wanted to meet fans before enlisting, even if he suggested it to the company.

Lee Do-hyun, who will be approaching 30 in the army, said, "Doesn't a man taste profound when he is over 30? I will come back more manly, so please wait for me."
