Actor Shim Yang-hong revealed that he had been fighting Parkinson's disease for eight years.

Shim Yang-hong, who played the role of Bok-gil's mother (Kim Hye-jung)'s father, and Lee Joo-sil, who played the mother's mother, appeared as surprise guests in the tvN STORY variety show "Chairman's People, " which aired on the 24th. Shim Yang-hong, who appeared with a cane, said that he had been suffering from Parkinson's disease for about eight years.

Parkinson's disease is a disease in which the nerve cells that produce dopamine, which are essential for exercise, are gradually lost without knowing the cause. Cramps occur in the hands and arms, and walking becomes difficult. Shim Yang-hong said Muhammad Ali, a famous boxer, also had Parkinson's disease.

When Kim Yong-gun saw Shim Yang-hong, he said sadly, "It's been a long time. I'm not feeling well. Time really sucks." Kim Soo-mi worried, "Since when did you get sick, do you do treatment?", but said, "But you have a very nice face." Lee Joo-sil said, "(A long time ago) I was sentenced to 8 months," and revealed the fact that she had overcome the 'fourth stage of breast cancer' by fighting the disease for a long time of 13 years. "I was sentenced to stage 3 breast cancer and it soon progressed to stage 4," he said calmly.
