QWER Returns with Mini Album 'CEREMONY', Aiming for New Heights
QWER (Chodan, Magenta, Hina, Siyeon) held a media showcase on the morning of the 27th at 11 AM at Yes24 Wonder Rock Hall in Changcheon-dong, Seoul, to celebrate the release of their 4th mini-album 'CEREMONY'.
Hina described the album as significant due to the increased involvement of the members. "All the members actively participated in the songwriting process. Despite our busy schedules, we put in a lot of effort. We learned a lot mentally and physically during the tour, which helped us grow as artists. I was worried about writing lyrics, but this experience made me enjoy it," she shared proudly.
Siyeon also noted, "My input was heavily reflected in the recordings, making me feel more responsible." She continued, "This project wasn't easy. When I first heard the song, I realized it was technically different from what we've done before, and the difficulty level had increased. Through this, I learned a lot about handling my voice, which is very rewarding."
Chodan revealed their goal for this release, saying, "We plan to greet fans through various music shows, and if given the chance, we'd love to achieve a number one spot and showcase our 'CEREMONY'." Hina added, "I also want to reach number one on the Melon chart. If we do, I'd like to create a surprise event for someone with a story to celebrate."
Siyeon expressed a desire to perform a group dance on an encore stage if they win first place on a music show. "We usually play instruments on stage, so showing a new side on broadcast would be a memorable experience for fans," she said. She also acknowledged the pressure of public attention, saying, "We're grateful for the interest in our music, but as a growing band, we want to show various sides of ourselves rather than focusing solely on rankings."
QWER's 4th mini-album 'CEREMONY' embodies their determination to find their identity as a team and live authentically. The album includes five tracks, with the title track 'CEREMONY' being a rock genre song declaring freedom from societal constraints.
Meanwhile, QWER's mini-album 'CEREMONY' will be released on various music platforms at 6 PM on the 27th.
