BTS Celebrates Billboard Hot 100 Triumph with Fans on Weverse Live
On April 1st, BTS held a live broadcast on the fan communication platform Weverse to celebrate their fifth studio album 'ARIRANG' and its title track 'SWIM' reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
The group achieved this milestone with 'SWIM' from their latest album 'ARIRANG', which was released last month. Additionally, 'ARIRANG' secured the top spot on the Billboard 200 main album chart this week, with 13 tracks from the album entering the Hot 100.
Leader RM shared, "I practiced yesterday and fell asleep as if I fainted. I woke up at 3 AM to hear the news." He added, "We also topped the Billboard 200. I wanted to express my gratitude, so we decided to go live."
Eldest member Jin commented, "It's all thanks to our fans who listened to our music. We were celebrating among ourselves and thought it would be great to celebrate with ARMY (our fandom), so we went live. It's our first album release after returning from the military, and I'm glad it's doing well."
Jimin expressed his disbelief, saying, "It feels unreal. This is a precious album we worked hard on, and I'm thankful that so many people listened to it. We need to do even better."
BTS is set to embark on a world tour starting April 9th at the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium in Goyang, South Korea. The tour will include 82 performances across 34 cities.
