BTS Unveils '2.0' Music Video from New Album 'ARIRANG', Pays Homage to 'Oldboy'
BTS has released the music video for '2.0', a track from their fifth studio album 'ARIRANG', on HYBE Labels' YouTube channel at midnight on the 2nd.

The music video draws inspiration from the iconic hallway fight scene in director Park Chan-wook's film 'Oldboy'. It features the members stepping out of a worn elevator and advancing through a narrow corridor. Shot in a single take, the scene showcases BTS in suits, using unique props like back scratchers, traditional Korean fans, and bamboo flutes, creating a humorous atmosphere with their fake mustaches.

A key element of the video is the '2.0 LOADING' sequence inside the elevator, where the members change outfits, symbolizing their transformation into 'BTS 2.0', representing the group's new direction. The transition from an abandoned building to a luxurious penthouse visually narrates the band's growth story.

The performance is characterized by precise control of tempo, set to hip-hop and trap rhythms. Departing from their usual choreography, the group incorporates weighty movements to emphasize their evolution.

BTS shared, "This video showcases our evolved performance. Filming the homage to 'Oldboy' was enjoyable, and we fondly remember laughing at each other's makeup during the early scenes."

The track '2.0' centers on themes of change and growth, featuring confident lyrics like "Yeah, like BTS, it's not easy to say / Who always jumps over the hurdles?" The song debuted at number 50 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart dated April 4th.
