K-POP: DEMON HUNTERS' Song 'GOLDEN' Wins Best Original Song at Golden Globe Awards
On January 11th, at the 83rd 'GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS' held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, the film's original soundtrack 'GOLDEN' triumphed over formidable competitors to win the Best Original Song - Motion Picture award. This victory is particularly significant as it was achieved amidst strong contenders such as 'AVATAR: FIRE AND ASH', 'SINNERS', 'WICKED', and 'TRAIN DREAMS'.
Singer and composer Lee Jae, who took the stage as the recipient of the Best Original Song award, was overwhelmed with emotion and delivered a heartfelt acceptance speech. Lee Jae recalled her past struggles, having pursued a dream of becoming an idol for ten years without rest, only to face rejection.
Lee Jae expressed, "When I was a young girl, I worked tirelessly for ten years to achieve my dream of becoming an 'idol', but I was rejected because my voice was deemed insufficient. To overcome that pain, I turned to singing and music, and now I stand here as a singer and composer," adding, "I am part of a song that helps other girls, boys, and everyone overcome difficulties and accept themselves."
Lee Jae also expressed gratitude to her family and fiancé, drawing attention by shouting "Mom, I love you" in Korean.
