Chuu Breaks Her Bright Image with Acting Lessons for New Album 'XO, My Cyberlove'
Chuu, the singer known for her bright image, is taking acting lessons to showcase a new side of herself. She expressed her ambition to break away from her established persona.

On the 7th, Chuu held an interview at a cafe in Gangnam, Seoul, to commemorate the release of her first full-length album, 'XO, My Cyberlove'.

Regarding the album, Chuu shared, "Until now, I've shown small pieces of myself through mini and single albums. This time, I wanted to bring those pieces together to reveal a new face of mine."

Chuu continued, "I believe I've shown my humorous character enough in other areas. To break that image during this album's activities, I took acting lessons. I wanted to show that Chuu, who does music, is different. I hope the public will be curious about my new image and voice."

Chuu has previously ventured into acting. She made her acting debut in the 2019 tvN D STORY drama 'Mandatory Romance Education'. Last year, she played the role of Kang Min-joo in KBS 2TV's 'My Girlfriend is a Gumiho'. Her acting in the music video for her previous mini-album 'Only Cry in the Rain' also received praise.

Reflecting on her music journey, she said, "I thought my music was stagnant. But I realized last year that it might look like I'm going in circles, but it's actually like a spring rising upwards. Listening to my old songs, I noticed many subtle improvements."

Chuu added, "This year, I plan to truly love my work. I want to work harder, so I don't want to waste time on other things. I plan to invest my time in self-management and focusing on my work."

'XO, My Cyberlove' is an album that delicately addresses the changes in human relationships in today's digital age, including a story of love involving artificial intelligence. The title track, 'XO, My Cyberlove', is a pop song with an 80s vibe, depicting an unfulfilled love story of AI towards humans. The album features a total of nine tracks, spanning genres from pop to R&B, indie, hyper pop, and alternative, challenging the boundaries of genre as an artist.

Chuu's first full-length album 'XO, My Cyberlove' was released on various music platforms on the 7th at 6 PM.
