Singer Im Jae-bum Announces Retirement from Music Industry

Korean singer Im Jae-bum has announced his retirement from the music industry.

Im Jae-bum shared his retirement message through a video on his YouTube channel.

He stated, "I hesitated for a long time before posting this. When I try to speak, my throat tightens, and I lack the courage to face you directly, so I am greeting you through this message."

He continued, "When I stand on stage, my heart still burns with passion, but I must admit that what I have is slowly slipping away from me."

Im Jae-bum revealed, "I have contemplated this decision for a long time, reflecting countless times and battling with myself. Today, for the first time, I want to honestly share my feelings with you. I plan to step down from the stage after my 40th-anniversary tour."

He acknowledged, "I know this decision is not easy for me or for you. I am truly sorry and grateful. You were the beginning of my songs and the reason I could endure. Even at this moment of concluding, you stand by my side."

Im Jae-bum expressed, "I sincerely hope this choice does not overshadow all the time I've spent or leave anyone with regrets. I believe stepping away at the best time, amidst the most beautiful days, is my last pride and way of expressing gratitude."

He pledged, "For the remaining 40th-anniversary performances, I will give you everything I have, with all my remaining strength and heart. I want to conclude this journey in my own way, quietly but sincerely."

Finally, he concluded, "To everyone who loved my songs and walked with me in my life, I am truly grateful and deeply sorry. I hope you keep this moment warmly in your memories."
