Broadcast Glitch Interrupts Virtual Idol Group PLAVE's Acceptance Speech at MMA2025

A broadcast glitch occurred during PLAVE's acceptance speech at the MMA2025.

On the 20th, the 'MMA2025' (2025 Melon Music Awards) took place at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Guro-gu, Seoul. The event was broadcast live via Melon and Wavve.

Virtual idol group PLAVE was announced as a winner in the 'TOP 10' category. Shortly after their name was called, PLAVE's image was briefly shown before the screen turned black. The black screen lasted for about 7 seconds, followed by approximately 30 seconds of audience footage. As a result, the beginning of PLAVE's acceptance speech was not aired.

Once the broadcast resumed, PLAVE expressed, "Our song 'Dash' has won in the TOP 10 category. 'Dash' received immense love, becoming the most streamed song on Melon in the first half of the year. We are grateful for the love and will continue to work hard. We thank our fans for this meaningful award, just like last year. We know we received this award because you listened to and supported our music day and night. Please continue to be with us next year."

Meanwhile, 'MMA2025' featured performances by G-DRAGON, Jay Park, 10CM, ZICO, WOODZ, Jennie, Hanroro, EXO, BOYNEXTDOOR, RIIZE, PLAVE, NCT WISH, IDID, ALPHA DRIVE ONE, aespa, IVE, ILLIT, Hearts2Hearts, KiiiKiii, and ALLDAY PROJECT.
