Additionally, the album was recognized by the music magazine MUVE, which hosts a podcast on music and pop culture, as both the 'Album of the Year' and the 'Pop Album of the Year,' further cementing its acclaim in the industry.

Released after a six-year hiatus, 'Extraordinary' showcases Lim Hyun-jung's signature delicate emotional expression and mature vocals. The album is a harmonious blend of genre-crossing compositions and meticulous production. It features lyrics that capture emotions with precision and a sound that varies in tone with each track.

Music critic Hwang Sun-up praised 'Extraordinary' as "a special tribute by an artist who chooses the extraordinary over the ordinary," while Jung Min-jae described it as "an extraordinary masterpiece, as the title suggests," adding, "There hasn't been a more diverse and brilliant pop album this year."
