Kim Taeyeon Crowned Best Female Solo Artist at the 13th Top Ten Awards

Kim Taeyeon has claimed the top spot in the Best Female Solo Artist category at the 13th Top Ten Awards (TTA), competing for the title of 'Best Global Artist'.

Organized by TENASIA, the 13th TTA is an event that selects the best global artists for the first half of 2025. Artists representing K-pop and K-content vied for the 'Best Global Artist' title at this prestigious event.

Expressing her gratitude, Kim Taeyeon stated, "I received the award for Best Female Solo Artist at the 13th TTA for the first half of 2025. I sincerely thank my fans for making this possible." She added, "I will continue to strive to be an artist who delivers great music and performances."

Kim Taeyeon first gained public attention by winning the top prize in the Jeongeup City edition of KBS's 'National Singing Contest' in 2018. She later appeared on TV Chosun's 'Miss Trot 2' in 2020, finishing in fourth place and earning the nickname 'Baby Tiger', which marked the beginning of her widespread popularity.

In May, Kim Taeyeon was appointed as the second promotional ambassador for Jung-gu, Seoul. Jung-gu Mayor Kim Gil-seong remarked, "Kim Taeyeon is a unique artist who bridges traditional Korean music and popular culture. We expect her to effectively convey the charm of Jung-gu, a district rich in 630 years of history where tradition and modernity coexist." Besides Jung-gu, Kim Taeyeon also serves as a regional ambassador for Jeongeup and Sunchang in North Jeolla Province, and Goheung in South Jeolla Province.

The final voting for the TTA took place from June 5 to 14. Cha Eun-woo was selected in the Male Actor category, while Astro topped the Male Idol Group category. Kim Hye-yoon won in the Female Actor category, and NiziU led the Female Idol Group category. BTS's V and BLACKPINK's Jisoo were named in the Male and Female Solo Idol categories, respectively. The Rookie award went to NEXZ, while Son Tae-jin and Kim Taeyeon were chosen in the Male and Female Solo Singer categories. Park Seo-jin's 'Very Good Tip' was awarded Best Song.
