CORTIS Unveils Tracklist for Mini Album 'GREENGREEN', Featuring Title Track 'REDRED'

The group CORTIS has revealed the tracklist for their second mini-album 'GREENGREEN'.

CORTIS, consisting of members Martin, James, Juhun, Sunghyun, and Gunho, shared the tracklist featuring song titles and credits on their official social media on April 13 at 9 PM. The album includes six tracks: the title track 'REDRED', 'TNT', 'ACAI', 'YOUNGCREATORCREW', 'Wassup', and 'Blue Lips'.

All five members contributed to the credits. Following their debut album, they held a song camp in Los Angeles, USA, where they co-created most of the tracks. Notably, 'REDRED', 'ACAI', 'YOUNGCREATORCREW', and 'Wassup' were crafted with the participation of all members, adding a special touch. CORTIS took charge of not only songwriting and composing but also choreography and video production, infusing their preferences into the content.

The track drawing the most anticipation is the title song 'REDRED'. It candidly expresses the team's aspirations as 'GREEN' and their boundaries as 'RED'. This song marks the beginning of CORTIS's journey to explore their unique direction, breaking away from societal norms and rules. The song features distinctive lyrics and an addictive melody, completed with the collaboration of all members. It offers a fresh sound with a repetitive and catchy rhythm layered over a raw synthesizer. Bang Si-hyuk, chairman of HYBE, also contributed to the track. 'REDRED' will be available as a digital single and music video on April 20, ahead of the album release.

The album's tracks reflect the members' experiences and tastes. 'TNT' encapsulates the team's explosive energy, while 'ACAI' is inspired by the acai bowls they consumed daily during the album's production, sparking curiosity with its title alone. 'YOUNGCREATORCREW' shares honest thoughts about the team's representative moniker. 'Wassup' addresses the changes in their daily lives and emotions post-debut. The final track, 'Blue Lips', is about dreams and scars, originating from a song Martin wrote during his trainee days.

The panoramic image released alongside the tracklist is an idea from CORTIS. Juhun smiles while pronouncing the first letter 'T' of 'TNT', and James holds a red baton reminiscent of 'REDRED'. Martin and Gunho's handshake signifies 'Wassup', while Sunghyun's lips represent 'Blue Lips'. As emphasized in the previously released album photos, the group highlights rawness and new textures.

CORTIS's second mini-album 'GREENGREEN' is set to release on May 4, marking their comeback after eight months since their debut album. According to distributors YG Plus and Universal Records, as of April 13, three weeks before the release, the album's pre-orders have reached 2,002,224 copies. There is anticipation to see if they will achieve 'double million-seller' status for the second consecutive time following their debut album.
