Netflix's animated series 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' original soundtrack (OST) 'Golden' has once again claimed the top spot on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.

According to Billboard on the 2nd (local time), 'Golden,' performed by the fictional girl group Huntrix in the series, has secured the number one position on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It has surpassed Alex Warren's 'Ordinary' for the second consecutive week, marking its third time at the top.

Notably, this week, 'Golden' leads the Hot 100 singles chart, while Stray Kids' new album 'KARMA' tops the Billboard 200 album chart. This marks the first time since December 2020, when BTS's 'BE' and 'Life Goes On' achieved this feat.

'Golden' has shown an upward trend in streaming (35.3 million, up 4% from the previous week), radio airplay (19.7 million, up 21%), and sales (9,000, up 11%), successfully staying on the chart for 10 consecutive weeks. It has maintained the number one spot on the Streaming Songs chart for six weeks, jumped from 42nd to 29th on the Radio Songs chart, and reached the top of the Digital Song Sales chart for the first time.

Billboard noted, "'Golden' is a rare case where both sales and streaming figures increase simultaneously each week," attributing its sustained popularity to sing-along events in theaters and Netflix premieres.

This track is the first by a K-pop female artist to reach number one on the Hot 100 and has set a record as a K-pop song that has stayed at the top for more than three weeks. The last time this happened was with BTS's 'Butter' (10 weeks) and 'Dynamite' (3 weeks).

In the UK, 'Golden' has also maintained the number one spot on the Official Singles Chart for four consecutive weeks, achieving a dual chart domination in both the US and the UK.

'Golden' features contributions from Korean-American composer Lee Jae, singer Audrey Nuna, and Ray Ami. Music producer Ian Eaisendrath described it as "an interesting virtuous cycle where the movie and the song make each other a hit."

Currently, the 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' OST has four tracks in the Billboard Hot 100 Top 10, including 'Golden,' 'Your Idol' (4th), 'Soda Pop' (5th), and 'How It's Done' (9th), continuing its global success.
