Park Yu-chun Announces Surprise Music Release After Retirement Reversal
Park Yu-chun, who previously retired from the entertainment industry, has announced a surprise music release.

On August 1st, Park Yu-chun took to Instagram to share a post that read, "MOON babe! Please look forward to it from tomorrow night," accompanied by a photo.

The image appears to be the cover art for his upcoming music release, featuring Park Yu-chun gazing into the distance with a pensive expression. The word 'Moon' on the image suggests it is the title of his new album. The post was shared in Japanese, indicating that the new song will be released exclusively in Japan.

According to fans, Park Yu-chun has personally written and composed the album, and he is also planning a fan meeting. Fans are already expressing excitement with comments like "Can't wait for the dance," "Thanks to you, I won't be able to sleep from tomorrow," and "It's amazing that he composed and produced it himself."

Park Yu-chun debuted in 2003 with the group TVXQ. In June 2016, he was accused of sexual assault, but the charges were dropped due to insufficient evidence.

In 2019, he was sentenced to 10 months in prison with a two-year probation for methamphetamine use. During a press conference, Park Yu-chun stated, "If I have used drugs, I will retire from the entertainment industry," but the charges were confirmed. Despite this, he reversed his retirement decision and continues to perform, mainly in Japan and other international markets.

In December of last year, Park Yu-chun was listed by the National Tax Service as a habitual tax delinquent, owing approximately 409 million won in taxes, including capital gains tax from 2016.
