KARD, comeback on the 13th of this month
The group KARD belonging to DSP Media has taken out their 'Yellow Card'. With the disbandment of Mirae Boys last month, KARD has become the artist representing DSP Media.
K.A.R.D (BM, J.Seph, Jeon So-min, Jeon Ji-woo) recently uploaded the tracklist and highlight medley of their 7th mini album 'Where To Now? (Part. 1: Yellow Light)' to their official SNS. According to the list, the new album contains a total of 7 tracks, including the title track 'Tell My Momma', 'Waste My Time', 'Boombox', 'SHIMMY SHIMMY', 'SPIN', 'Tell My Momma (Inst.)', and 'Boombox (Inst.)'.
Starting with 'Waste My Time', a tropical pop song reminiscent of a vacation, 'Boombox', an electro-pop song with a lively melody and beats, 'SHIMMY SHIMMY', a hip-hop dance song with an intense bass line and various synths, and 'SPIN', an R&B reggae pop song that sounds like a scene from a car racing movie, the album captures the cheerful sensibility of 'Yellow' through various genres. The title song 'Tell My Momma' is a song with a unique chord progression that is attractive, and the repeated chorus boasts strong addictiveness. It features witty lyrics introducing a special someone to one's mother, and a cool yet kitschy atmosphere that Kard has never shown before.
The members’ participation in the album is also high. First, BM participated in the arrangement and writing of the lyrics for the title song “Tell My Momma” and the b-side “Waste My Time,” and was also credited with writing the lyrics for “Boombox” and “SHIMMY SHIMMY.” J.Seph also wrote the rap lyrics for the title song “Tell My Momma” and the b-sides “Waste My Time” and “Boombox,” adding his own unique color to the album.
'Where To Now? (Part. 1: Yellow Light)' is KARD's first album in approximately 1 year and 3 months since the release of their 6th mini album 'ICKY' in May of last year. With this album, KARD is challenging their first series since debut, and will present Part 2 within the year. KARD, who is now in their 8th year since debut, plans to colorfully express their search for a new direction.
KARD's 7th mini album 'Where To Now? (Part.1: Yellow Light)' will be released through various music sites at 6 PM on the 13th.
