KATSEYE makes global debut with the name tag ‘Hive American Girl Group’
Girl group KATSEYE released its first single 'Debut' at 1pm on the 28th (Korean time). This song announces the beginning of those who were finally selected through the audition program 'The Debut: Dream Academy', to which 120,000 people from all over the world applied.

'Debut' features a cheerful rhythm and highly addictive melody. Lyrics such as ‘Love me once I know you’ll love me twice’ and ‘I don’t need nobody tryna tell me how to run it’ are bold and confident. Here, the attractive vocals and personalities of the six members (Daniela, Lala, Manon, Megan, Sophia, and Yun Chae) were added to create a lively and powerful 'Summer Song'.

Ryan Tedder, who has worked with top musicians such as Beyonce, Maroon 5, and Adele, as well as Grant Boutin, Tyler Spry, and Omer Pedi. A group of brilliant producers, including (Omer Fedi), participated in the song's production to improve its perfection.

The music video was produced by Gregory Ohrel. Gregory Orel is a film director who directed music videos such as Selena Gomez's 'Love On' and Jain's 'Makeba'.

The 'Debut' music video contains KATSEYE's confident and lovely charm. They showed the identity of KATSEYE, which seeks to represent the voice of a new era and generation, by freely moving in and out of school and escaping, and by showing the boldness of performing in the middle of the road with cars running.

Dynamic and unique point choreography, such as various changes in poses using kicks and hands, also catches the attention of viewers. Executive Creator Son Seong-deuk, who is in charge of the overall creator, led the overall ‘Debut’ performance.

KATSEYE continues to be active upon the release of 'Debut'. We will meet global music fans at 'KCON LA 2024', which will be held from July 26th to 28th. Additionally, the Netflix documentary series 'Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE', which covers their birth story, is scheduled to be released this summer.
