ATEEZ Sets New Milestone with 7-Year Contract Renewal

On the 10th, KQ Entertainment announced that all members of ATEEZ have signed a new contract. This comes after the group hinted at the possibility of a renewal during a press conference for their mini 12th album, 'Golden Hour: Part 3,' held last month. Leader Hongjoong expressed their commitment to continue showcasing ATEEZ for a long time, promising good news soon. True to their word, the group announced the renewal within a month.

A long-term contract allows the agency to strategically plan mid-to-long-term activities, including albums, tours, and international projects. This ensures stable planning and investment in both group and individual member activities, securing a concrete timeline for future endeavors.
While many contracts do not specify the duration, ATEEZ's 7-year term provides fans with assurance against uncertainties like disbandment or member departures, fostering long-term support from their fanbase.

Stray Kids announced their contract renewal well ahead of expiration, with JYP Entertainment confirming the renewal of all members last August. They are currently on their largest world tour, having completed a 13-show stadium tour across 10 North American cities and planning more in Europe.

The long-term commitments of these leading 4th generation boy groups indicate a growing trend of extended group lifespans in the K-pop industry. This shift from frequent disbandments or member changes within 7 years of debut to longer, more stable careers reflects the increasing trust between members and agencies, as well as strong fanbases. It is a positive sign of the K-pop industry's stability and sustainability.
