New Jeans ‘Get Up’ charted on the US ‘Billboard 200’ for 26 consecutive weeks

NewJeans set a tie record for being the longest-running K-pop girl group on the US Billboard main album chart.

According to the latest US Billboard chart (as of January 27) released on the 23rd (local time), New Jeans' (Minzy, Hani, Daniel, Haerin, Hyein)'s second EP 'Get Up' ranked first on the 'Billboard 200'. It was ranked 197th. This album entered the 'Billboard 200' at number 1 on August 5th of last year and successfully stayed on the charts for 26 consecutive weeks.

With this, New Jeans repeatedly broke the record of being the longest-running chart by a 4th generation K-pop group on this chart, and tied the record as the longest-running chart by a K-pop girl group in history just 1 year and 6 months after their debut.

'Get Up''s title song 'Super Shy' continued to perform well on global charts. This song ranked 79th in ‘Global (excluding the U.S.)’ and 121st in ‘Global 200’ this week, maintaining its ranking on both charts for 28 consecutive weeks. 'ETA', another title song from 'Get Up', ranked 154th in 'Global (excluding the US)'.

New Jeans' previous works are also loved as they are featured on the charts. The biggest hit song of 2023, 'Ditto', ranked 184th in the 'Global 200' and ranked 94th in the 'Global (excluding the United States)', charting for a total of 57 weeks. 'OMG' ranked 93rd and 179th in 'Global (excluding the United States)' and 'Global 200', respectively.

Meanwhile, New Jeans will be nominated for 'Kpop Song of the Year' and 'K-Pop Best Newcomer' at the '2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards 2024' in the United States, which will be held on April 1. (Best New Artist (K-Pop)) was nominated for awards in two categories.
