NewJeans entered the US Billboard year-end Billboard 200 for the first time

NewJeans proved its global status this year by appearing in several categories on the US Billboard year-end charts.

According to the 2023 Year-End Charts released by the U.S. Billboard on the 22nd (Korean time), New Genes' 2nd mini album 'Get Up' ranked 134th on the main album chart 'Billboard 200 Albums'. . This is the highest ranking among works by K-pop female artists in this category this year. 'Get Up' entered the 'Billboard 200' at number 1 as soon as it was released last July (as of August 5) and has been on the charts for 17 consecutive weeks.

In addition, 'Get Up' ranked high in detailed album charts, including 4th in 'World Album', 10th in 'Top Current Album Sales', and 12th in 'Top Album Sales'.

NewJeans entered the ‘Global 200’ and ‘Global (excluding the U.S.)’ with five songs each, the most among K-pop artists. In 'Global (excluding the US)' and 'Global 200', 'Ditto' ranked 24th and 52nd respectively, 'OMG' ranked 25th and 41st respectively, 'Hype boy' ranked 49th and 147th respectively, and 'Super Shy' ranked 84th and 117th, respectively, and 'ETA' ranked 165th and 197th, respectively.

NewJeans ranked 86th in ‘Top Artist’, 100th in ‘Hot 100 Artist’, 3rd in ‘World Album Artist’, 4th in ‘Global (excluding US) Artist’, 7th in ‘Hot 100 Artist-Duo/Group’, They were listed on several charts, including 8th place in 'Top Artist-Duo/Group', 9th place in 'Global 200 Artist', and 15th place in 'Top Album Sales Artist'.

NewJeans released their single album 'OMG' in January of this year and their 2nd mini album 'Get Up' in July, dominating domestic and international charts and causing the 'NewJeans Syndrome'. They ranked first on the 'Billboard 200' just one year after their debut and won the 'Top Global K-pop Artist' award at the '2023 Billboard Music Awards (2023 BBMAs)' held on the 20th. The upward trend continues.

Billboard selects the most popular albums, songs, and artists in each category over the year and announces the year-end financial chart every year. The 2023 year-end settlement chart rankings were based on various chart performances from November 19, 2022, to October 21 of this year.
