Singer Lee Hyori returns with the new song ‘Hoodie and Shorts’.

Hyori Lee will release her digital single ‘Hoodie and Shorts’ through various music sites today (12th) at 6 PM. The new song 'Hoodie and Shorts' contains a story about finding your own balance, like 'Hoodie and Shorts', which is neither hot nor cold, rather than worrying about what others think. In particular, hip-hop artist Haengju participated in writing lyrics, composing, and producing, heralding a special synergy with Hyori Lee.

The following is a Q&A with Lee Hyori, who is releasing her new song 'Hoodie and Shorts'.

Q. You have released your new song ‘Hoodie and Shorts’. How do you feel?
A. This new song ‘Hoodie and Shorts’ was released with a light heart. However, I plan to actively pursue music activities starting with this song.

Q. Briefly introduce your new song and why did you choose ‘Hoodie and Shorts’ as the theme?
A. I wanted to choose a comfortable topic like the title ‘Hoodie’s Shorts.’ Now I think that each person lives their life according to their own thoughts, so rather than strongly telling them to follow me, I wanted to convey my current thoughts comfortably. I would like to continue to present songs with good moods, and I hope that listeners will understand the messages derived from them in their own way. In the same sense, in the future, if the song is good, I would like to try a variety of genres.

Q. Why did you decide to collaborate with hip-hop artist Hangju?
A. In addition to the music I wrote and composed, I also wanted to sing songs by various talented juniors. The biggest reason why I wanted to work with Haengju was because I heard the song 'Ending Credit' by Haengju written by (Eom) Jeonghwa, and I thought that this friend writes lyrics with concern and empathy for the singer who will sing the song. I was asked to write a song. As expected, I was satisfied when I received this song because it stuck to my heart and my mouth as if the lyrics were written by me.

Q. This is the first new song released after joining Antenna. Is there anything that has changed since working with you before?
A. As before, we prepared a new song by directly contacting the artist and selecting the song. During the release process, Antenna presented various opinions, and it was nice to have the advantage of being able to listen to a variety of things I didn't know about and make a decision based on them.

Q. Please say something to the fans who have been waiting for your new song.
A. “I’ve waited a long time, guys.” I think it will be a good song because we waited so long. From now on, rather than trying to create something grand, I plan to continue my music career in a light and comfortable way, so I really want to say that I don't have to wait too long.
