New Jeans enters ‘Top 10’ on US Billboard ‘Global 200’

NewJeans has achieved a meaningful milestone by climbing into the ‘Top 10’ of the Billboard chart about 5 months after its debut.

According to the latest chart (as of January 14) released by Billboard, an American music media outlet, on the 9th (local time), 'Ditto', a song included in the new album by New Jeans (Minzy, Hani, Daniel, Haerin, Hyein), ranked first in Billboard's 'Global ( Excluding the U.S.)’ and 8th in the ‘Global 200’. This is New Jeans' own highest ranking record on both charts.

In particular, by taking 4th and 8th place on both charts, respectively, about 5 months after their debut, New Jeans entered the ‘Global 200’, ‘Top 10’, and ‘Global (excluding the U.S.)’ in the shortest period of time for a K-pop group. An amazing milestone has been achieved as an artist entering the ‘Top 5’.

Meanwhile, New Jeans ranked first in Spotify Korea's 'Weekly Top Artist' (as of December 29th) last month and has maintained the top spot for two consecutive weeks (counting period from December 23rd to January 5th). They are the only K-pop group that debuted after September 2016 to reach #1 on the chart.
