BTS Jin, recruit training completion ceremony

Group BTS member Jin (31, Kim Seok-jin) completes recruit training and continues his military service as an assistant instructor.

Jin attended the 5th Infantry Division recruit training completion ceremony in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi Province on the 18th, and is expected to continue his service by being assigned to the same battalion as an assistant instructor. Jin applied to be selected as a trainee assistant, and the military finally selected Jin through an evaluation of rituals and command coordination, and an oral interview.

In particular, singer and actor Rain, 2PM's Hwang Chan-sung, and actor Lee Jang-woo have previously served as assistant instructors at the 5th Division Recruit Training Center, where Jin will serve as an assistant instructor. Jin followed these seniors and served in the military as a teaching assistant.

Jin entered the 5th Infantry Division Recruit Training Center on December 13 last year and completed five weeks of basic military training. Because of his global popularity, much attention was paid to Jin's military life. Through military communities and applications, images of Jin receiving military service, chemical and biological treatment, and tactical marches were revealed, and many fans showed their support. Jin's appearance as a healthy and manly soldier attracted attention.

Meanwhile, regarding the recruit training completion ceremony scheduled for this day, Big Hit Music, BTS's agency, said on the 5th, "To prevent safety accidents due to crowding at the site, we ask that fans refrain from visiting the site, and send off and encourage Jin only with their hearts. “Please refrain from attending the graduation ceremony,” he said.

Jin's expected discharge date is June 12, 2024.
