Blackpink Jennie's 'You & Me' tops YouTube's popular song/MV chart
According to YouTube's latest chart (compiled from October 6, 2023 to October 12, 2023) released on the 15th, Jennie's 'You& Me' topped the global YouTube song category. The performance video also ranked first in the global top music videos thanks to its huge popularity.
Even though this song is a special single released without any special promotion, it is doing well on major global charts, including YouTube. Immediately after its release, it topped the iTunes Top Songs chart in 61 countries and ranked 13th on the Daily Top Songs chart on Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform.
It entered the UK Official Chart Singles Top 100 at number 39, and went straight to number 1 on both the Single Sales Chart and Single Download Chart. On the single trending chart, it entered the 8th place, the highest ranking for a K-pop female soloist, showing its overwhelming presence in the mainstream pop market.
Meanwhile, Blackpink, of which Jennie is a member, recently successfully completed the largest world tour by a K-pop girl group, 'BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR [BORN PINK]', which mobilized over 1.8 million people. Including the Coachella Festival in the US (250,000 people on both days combined) and Hyde Park in the UK (65,000 people), where he was the first Asian artist to headline, he was able to interact with a whopping 2.115 million audiences.
