Director Jang Dong-yoon's Film 'Nuruuk' to Host Special Relay GV Ahead of Exclusive Megabox Release
The film Nuruuk tells the unique story of 'Daseul', an 18-year-old girl who loves makgeolli and is the daughter of a famous local brewery. One day, she notices a change in the taste of makgeolli and embarks on a journey to find the missing 'nuruuk', the main ingredient. Ahead of its release on April 15th, a special relay GV will be held from April 7th to April 10th at 7:30 PM each night at the Seoul Film Center, featuring director Jang Dong-yoon. Jang, a Hanyang University graduate, gained attention after being cast following his appearance in the news for apprehending a robber.
Nuruuk marks Jang Dong-yoon's debut feature film following his 2023 short film Be My Ear. The film presents a fresh narrative centered around the Korean element 'nuruuk', featuring a high school girl who loves makgeolli and her journey to find the missing ingredient. Producer Lee Tae-dong, along with actors Kim Seung-yoon, Song Ji-hyuk, and Park Myung-hoon, known for works like Parasite and Crash Landing on You, contribute to the film's high expectations.
The film Nuruuk will be exclusively released at Megabox on April 15th.
