Bae Sung-woo Discusses Close Bonds with Male Co-stars Amidst 'The Ultimate Investigation' Release
On the 26th, an interview with Bae Sung-woo was conducted at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, regarding his film 'The Ultimate Investigation.' This marks Bae's first interview with the press since his DUI incident.
'The Ultimate Investigation' is a crime thriller that follows detective 'Jae-hyuk' (played by Bae Sung-woo), who is transferred to a remote area. He teams up with rookie detective 'Jung-ho' (played by Jung Ga-ram) to solve a murder case involving two suspects, leading them to Seoul for an intense investigation. Bae spoke about his co-star Jung Ga-ram, saying, "Ga-ram and I kept in touch occasionally even after he returned from the military. He's quite busy, so we didn't meet often."
He added, "In the film, we have a confrontational relationship, but he's very cute, shy, and innocent. He's different when the camera is rolling. There's a 21-year age gap between us, which is like two decades. Ga-ram seemed mature and manly, while I felt like the immature one."
Bae also mentioned his close relationships with fellow actors Jo In-sung, Lee Kwang-soo, and Park Jung-min. He said, "Jo In-sung treats me casually because we're so close. He claims to be my senior since he debuted on camera first." He continued, "I'm also close with Kwang-soo, whom I worked with on the drama 'Live.' His height is intimidating. Both of them are tall." In contrast, he described Park Jung-min as polite.
Meanwhile, 'The Ultimate Investigation,' originally set for release in 2020, was delayed for seven years due to the COVID-19 pandemic and Bae's DUI controversy. It is now set to premiere on December 2.
