'The King and the Man' Surpasses 15 Million Viewers, Becomes Third Highest-Grossing Film in South Korea
The film 'The King and the Man,' directed by Jang Hang-jun, has surpassed 15 million viewers.

On the 25th, distributor Showbox announced that 'The King and the Man' crossed the 15 million viewer mark on its 50th day of release.

Previously, only two films had surpassed 15 million viewers: the all-time box office leader 'The Admiral: Roaring Currents' with 17.61 million viewers, and 'Extreme Job' with 16.26 million viewers. 'The King and the Man' has become the third film to achieve this milestone.

As of 3 PM on the same day, 'The King and the Man' ranks second in reservation rates, with ticket sales exceeding 80,000.

Set in 1457 Cheongnyeongpo, 'The King and the Man' tells the story of a village chief who volunteers for exile to revive his village and a young dethroned king in exile. The film stars Yoo Hae-jin, Park Ji-hoon, Yoo Ji-tae, and Jeon Mi-do.

On the 6th of this month, 'The King and the Man' became the 34th film in history to reach 10 million viewers. It currently holds the third spot in the all-time box office rankings.
