Park Jung-min and Shin Se-kyung's Heartfelt Romance in 'Humint' Captivates Audiences
On the 4th, a press screening for the movie 'Humint', directed by Ryoo Seung-wan, was held at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Hangang-daero, Yongsan-gu, Seoul. The event was attended by director Ryoo Seung-wan and actors Jo In-sung, Park Jung-min, Park Hae-joon, and Shin Se-kyung.
'Humint' tells the story of individuals with different objectives clashing in Vladivostok, where secrets and truths are submerged in the icy sea. The title 'Humint' stands for 'Human Intelligence'.
Jo In-sung plays the role of Cho, an agent of the National Intelligence Service of South Korea. Park Jung-min portrays Park Geon, a team leader in North Korea's Ministry of State Security. Park Hae-joon takes on the role of Hwang Chi-sung, the North Korean Consul General in Vladivostok. Shin Se-kyung appears as Chae Sun-hwa, an employee at a North Korean restaurant in Vladivostok.
Park Jung-min expressed, "All the projects I've worked on are precious, but there are some that I feel emotionally attached to and miss dearly. This was one of those projects. Especially as winter approaches, I fondly remember the cold winter we experienced. Reuniting with everyone after a long time feels particularly special. We encouraged each other throughout the filming, so I hope audiences will appreciate it."
In the film, Park Jung-min's character throws himself into a passionate romance to protect his former fiancée, Chae Sun-hwa. He stated, "I believe Park Geon's sole purpose in the film is Sun-hwa, played by Shin Se-kyung. Throughout the shoot, I was focused on Sun-hwa." He added, "Shin Se-kyung was an actor I met for the first time on this set, and I'm truly grateful that she opened up to us early on. We discussed the project extensively, relied on each other, and stayed focused. I'm incredibly thankful that Shin Se-kyung played Sun-hwa."
'Humint' is set to be released on the 11th.
