Han So-hee Reveals How She Became Close Friends with Jeon Jong-seo on 'Project Y'
I met Han So-hee, the star of the film 'Project Y', at a café in Samcheong-dong, Seoul.
'Project Y' tells the story of Mi-seon and Do-kyung, who, while dreaming of a different tomorrow in the heart of a bustling city, find themselves at the edge of life, stealing black money and gold bars. Han So-hee plays Mi-seon, who loses everything due to an unexpected event just before taking over a flower shop. Jeon Jong-seo portrays Do-kyung, who makes a living through illegal taxi services.
When asked why she chose this project, Han So-hee said, "Jeon Jong-seo's role was significant. Beyond being peers, she was an actress I wanted to work with." She added, "Director Lee Hwan's 'Park Hwa-young' was a film that left a strong impression on me. I was excited not just about the script but also about the people I would work with."
When asked why she wanted to be friends, Han So-hee explained, "I have friends from high school and various professions, but I felt Jong-seo would have a greater ability to empathize with my concerns." She added, "I've admired her acting since 'Burning' and wanted to ask about her approach and attitude towards her work."
Were they different or similar when they met in person? Han So-hee shared, "We both seem to love humanity. We connected well from the start." She continued, "We discussed how to base our work more on love, what it means to act well, and other common topics among actors. Since I didn't major in acting, Jong-seo is like a senior to me."
