'The Informant' is a crime action comedy that follows former ace detective Oh Nam-hyuk (played by Heo Sung-tae), who has lost his passion and investigative skills after being demoted, and informant Jo Tae-bong (played by Jo Bok-rae), who has been making money by providing information on major cases. The two unexpectedly get involved in a big scheme. According to the Korean Film Council's integrated computer network, as of 7 a.m. on the 4th, 'The Informant' attracted 20,726 viewers on its opening day, ranking second in the Korean box office. 'The Neighbors Upstairs,' which also premiered on the same day, took the top spot, with both films surpassing 'Concrete Market,' 'Freddy's Pizza Place 2,' and previously released foreign films and animations like 'Now You See Me 3,' 'Wicked: For Good,' and 'Chainsaw Man: The Movie - Reze Arc.'

'The Neighbors Upstairs' is receiving praise for director Ha Jung-woo's sharp observational skills and his ability to turn uncomfortable situations into comedic moments. The film is also lauded for the performances of its four lead actors, Ha Jung-woo, Gong Hyo-jin, Kim Dong-wook, and Lee Ha-nee, who deliver a symphony of well-timed and nuanced acting.
