Kim Hieora Expresses Ambition for International Career Amidst 'The Savior' Film Release
Kim Hieora has expressed her desire to expand her career internationally.

On the 23rd, an interview was conducted with Kim Hieora at a café in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, regarding her new film 'The Savior.' Kim arrived in a neat navy jacket, greeting each member of the press and setting a positive tone for the interview.

'The Savior' is a mystery occult film that follows the story of Yeongbeom (played by Kim Byung-chul) and Sunhee (played by Song Ji-hyo) who experience miraculous events after moving to the blessed land of Obok-ri, only to discover these miracles come at the cost of someone else's misfortune. Kim Hieora plays the role of 'Chunseo,' a mother who struggles to find the reason behind her son Minjae's sudden inability to walk.

For Kim Hieora, this project was akin to a real 'savior.' She returned to the screen with this film following allegations in September 2023 of her involvement in school bullying during her school days, including extorting money from juniors. Notably, 'The Savior' marks her debut in a commercial film.

Two years ago, when the bullying allegations surfaced, Kim Hieora immediately left for the United States. She shared, "I stayed for about nine months due to visa reasons. I worked on an independent film in the U.S. and am currently working with an American management company. I'm also auditioning. I want to try working abroad."

She added, "The U.S. has Broadway and Hollywood, so I thought it would be a good experience to explore while taking a break, study English, and think about what could enrich me. When I went to meetings in the U.S., they were surprised to see me alone. Of course, my first priority is Korea because acting in my native language makes me happy. However, with the global popularity of K-POP, K-dramas, K-movies, and K-food, it seems that the better I act in my native language, the more opportunities arise."
