Yoon Ga-eun's 'The Owner of the World' Unveils Special Poster Ahead of October Release

Set to release on October 22, 'The Owner of the World' follows the story of Joo-in, an enigmatic 18-year-old high school girl played by Seo Soo-bin. The plot unfolds as she becomes the only student to refuse participation in a school-wide petition, leading to her receiving mysterious notes. The film has been invited to the Platform section of the 50th Toronto International Film Festival, making it the first and only Korean film to achieve this honor. It also won two awards at the 9th Pingyao International Film Festival and received invitations to the International Competition section of the 41st Warsaw International Film Festival and the competition section of the 69th BFI London Film Festival.
The newly released special poster features Joo-in confidently walking with the world beneath her feet. Joo-in is portrayed as a lively and well-connected class president who excels in academics, taekwondo, and romance, making her the ultimate school insider. However, her sudden opposition to a petition supported by the entire student body and her outbursts in front of friends create chaos. The poster highlights Joo-in's multifaceted charm, leaving audiences intrigued by her unpredictable nature. It also raises curiosity about the world that shapes her character. Seo Soo-bin's remarkable performance and fresh appeal as Joo-in are highly anticipated.
'The Owner of the World' will hit theaters on October 22.
