i-dle's Minnie to Make Her Film Debut in Thai Remake of '50 First Dates'
i-dle's Minnie is set to make her screen debut.

Minnie has been cast as the lead in the Thai remake of the film '50 First Dates.' Originally released in 2004, the romantic comedy tells the story of Lucy Whitmore, played by Drew Barrymore, who suffers from short-term memory loss, and Henry Roth, a zookeeper played by Adam Sandler, who falls in love with her at first sight.

In this remake, Minnie will transform into the female lead, showcasing her delicate emotional acting skills. The film is a joint production between Sony Pictures International Productions and Thailand's leading film company GDH, with filming set to begin in October.

Minnie's co-star is Thai model and actor Nadech Kugimiya, known for his roles in the 2019 Thai version of 'My Love from the Star' and last year's blockbuster 'Death Whisperer 2.' The film is directed by renowned Thai director Mez Tharatorn, with a screenplay co-written by Thodsapon Thiptinnakorn and Benjamaporn Srabua.

Minnie first ventured into acting in the 2021 Netflix series 'So Not Worth It,' where she made a memorable impression. In her first film lead role in the Thai remake of '50 First Dates,' she is expected to showcase her signature bright and lovable charm along with deeper acting skills.

i-dle, the group Minnie is part of, will perform at the major Japanese music festival 'SUMMER SONIC 2025' on the 16th and 17th, meeting local audiences.
