Ahn Bo-hyun Channels Director for Unique Role in 'Pretty Crazy'
Ahn Bo-hyun revealed that he drew inspiration from the director to portray his character in 'Pretty Crazy'.

On the 6th, a press screening for the film 'Pretty Crazy' was held at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Seoul. Director Lee Sang-geun, along with actors Im Yoon-ah, Ahn Bo-hyun, and Joo Hyun-young, were in attendance.

'Pretty Crazy' is a romantic comedy that tells the story of a young unemployed man, Gil-gu (played by Ahn Bo-hyun), who takes on an extraordinary part-time job of monitoring Seon-ji (played by Im Yoon-ah), who transforms into a devil every dawn. This is the latest work from director Lee Sang-geun, who previously attracted 9.42 million viewers with his 2019 debut feature 'Exit'.

Ahn Bo-hyun plays the role of Gil-gu, who discovers Seon-ji's secret. He shared, "When I first read about the character of Gil-gu, I did a lot of research and put in a lot of effort. However, it wasn't easy to bring him to life. I've often played more masculine and energetic characters, but this time, Gil-gu is someone you want to protect, an introverted character. I relied heavily on the director. Gil-gu is a reflection of the director."

Director Lee added, "While Ahn Bo-hyun and I may not look alike, we share similarities on the inside, including being INFJs," which drew laughter. He continued, "If Ahn Bo-hyun has shown a strong image so far, this time he will showcase a new side."

Ahn Bo-hyun also spoke about his co-star Im Yoon-ah, saying, "She is energetic and bright in real life, which was very helpful." He added, "Yoon-ah did a great job portraying both the day and night versions of Seon-ji. Gil-gu is just one person, but the points where he changes because of Seon-ji were interesting. I think the chemistry was well captured. I want to give high marks for our chemistry and praise ourselves."

'Pretty Crazy' is set to be released on the 13th.
