Kang Ha-neul Discusses His Role in Netflix Thriller '84 Square Meters' and His Lack of Interest in Investments
Actor Kang Ha-neul recently revealed his laid-back attitude towards investments.

On the 21st, an interview with Kang Ha-neul, who plays No Woo-sung in Netflix's '84 Square Meters,' was conducted at a café in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul. Kang appeared in a relaxed manner, wearing a loose shirt, a stylish baseball cap, and glasses without lenses, embodying the free spirit of his character.

'84 Square Meters' is an unpredictable thriller about Woo-sung, played by Kang Ha-neul, who becomes a homeowner but is tormented by mysterious noise disturbances from his apartment. As the story unfolds, Woo-sung becomes increasingly sensitive and unravels due to the noise.

While the main theme of the film is noise disturbances, it also touches on timely social issues such as cryptocurrency and poorly constructed apartments. Kang Ha-neul admitted, "I don't really know much about real estate, stocks, or cryptocurrency. I learned a bit while working on this project." He added, "I found out how buying and selling works. I even asked, 'Can you really buy it just by clicking this?'"

In contrast to Kang Ha-neul's lack of knowledge about investments, his cousin has had experiences similar to Woo-sung's character. Kang recalled, "My cousin lost money in cryptocurrency and also dealt with noise disturbances. It was really tough for him. Having experienced both, he shared some realistic stories with me."

Meanwhile, '84 Square Meters' is currently streaming on Netflix.
