Ahn Bo-hyun Takes on a New Challenge in 'The Devil Came Home'

'The Devil Came Home' is a devil-possessed comedy that tells the story of Gil-gu, an unemployed young man who takes on an extraordinary part-time job of watching over Seon-ji (played by Lim Yoon-a), who transforms into a devil every night. The film explores the soul-draining experiences of Gil-gu as he navigates this bizarre job.
Ahn's character, Gil-gu, is a young man living a monotonous life at home after quitting his job. He learns about Seon-ji's unique secret and becomes her protector during the night, embarking on a challenging part-time job. Despite his imposing stature, Ahn's portrayal of a timid character is a departure from his previous roles, promising to captivate audiences. His performance ranges from a dependable Doberman-like protector to a submissive Golden Retriever-like companion, which is expected to win over viewers.
Director Lee Sang-geun praised Ahn Bo-hyun, saying, "When I first met him, I was struck by his overwhelming charm. In reality, he's a genuinely good person. I believe the film will start with Seon-ji's charm and end with the lingering impression of Gil-gu." Ahn Bo-hyun shared, "Initially, I was unsure how to approach the role, but after discussions with the director, I realized that the character was inspired by him. I tried to follow his direction." He added, "I didn't have to do any special training for my physique, but I'm grateful for the comments about the chemistry with Lim Yoon-a."
Ahn Bo-hyun's upcoming film 'The Devil Came Home', where he showcases a new charm with his gentle giant persona, will be released in theaters nationwide on August 13.
