First Look at 'Omniscient Reader' Promises a Unique Visual Experience

The upcoming film 'Omniscient Reader' has released its first set of stills, promising a visual experience unlike any other.

Based on a novel that ran for over a decade, 'Omniscient Reader' is a fantasy action film where the world of a completed novel becomes reality. The story follows Kim Dokja, the sole reader of the novel, as he teams up with the protagonist Yoo Junghyuk and other allies to survive in a world on the brink of destruction.

The newly released stills highlight the film's unique universe and the captivating presence of its diverse characters. Kim Dokja, played by Ahn Hyo-seop, is an ordinary office worker who finds himself in the world of the novel he has been reading for over ten years while on his way home from work. As chaos ensues, Dokja, the only person who knows the novel's ending, meets the protagonist Yoo Junghyuk, portrayed by Lee Min-ho, and proposes an alliance, only to be coldly rejected. The intriguing premise of the novel's world becoming reality, along with the evolving dynamic between Dokja and Junghyuk, promises to captivate audiences.

The film also introduces other key characters who join Dokja on his epic journey: Yoo Sang-ah (Chae Soo-bin), a colleague who was with him when the novel became reality; Lee Hyun-sung (Shin Seung-ho), who possesses superior physical strength; Jung Hee-won (NANA), who fights for justice after overcoming personal pain; Lee Ji-hye (Jisoo), a high school student who follows Junghyuk as her mentor; and Lee Gil-young (Kwon Eun-seong), who has a unique ability to communicate with insects. The powerful synergy and teamwork displayed by these characters as they utilize their abilities to survive in the novel's world will be a major highlight of the film.

'Omniscient Reader' is set to hit theaters nationwide on July 23.
