The film 'HI-FIVE', which premiered on May 30, has claimed the number one spot at the box office during its opening weekend.

Directed by Kang Hyoung-chul, 'HI-FIVE' is a comedic action film that follows five individuals who gain unique superpowers through organ transplants. The movie stars Lee Jae-in, Ahn Jae-hong, Ra Mi-ran, Kim Hee-won, Oh Jung-se, and Park Jin-young.

According to the Korean Film Council's integrated computer network for movie tickets, 'HI-FIVE' attracted a total of 380,329 viewers from May 30 to June 1, securing the top position at the box office. Although it debuted at number one on May 30, it briefly fell to second place behind 'Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning' on May 31, before reclaiming the top spot on June 1 due to positive audience reactions.

Additionally, 'HI-FIVE' achieved the highest seat occupancy rate among films released during the same period. It maintained high seat occupancy rates from its opening day and even drew more viewers on Sunday, a day that typically sees a decline in audience numbers compared to Saturday.

The newly released press review poster captures a highlight scene from the film featuring a thrilling cart chase. It shows Seon-nyeo (played by Ra Mi-ran) racing in a yogurt cart with Wan-seo (Lee Jae-in), Ji-seong (Ahn Jae-hong), and Yak-seon (Kim Hee-won), while Jong-min (Oh Jung-se) struggles to keep up, providing comedic relief. Despite gaining superpowers through organ transplants, the 'HI-FIVE' team remains delightfully quirky and endearing, showcasing their strong teamwork and reliance on each other. The film's blend of humor, exhilarating action, the chemistry among the cast, Kang Hyoung-chul's exceptional direction, and the team's growth story have garnered praise, heightening anticipation among potential viewers.
