Han So-hee in Talks to Star in Korean Remake of 'The Intern'

Anticipation is building around actress Han So-hee, born in 1993, as she is considered for the lead role in the Korean remake of the film 'The Intern'.

According to a report on the 9th, Han So-hee is being considered for the lead role in the Korean version of 'The Intern'. Her agency, 9ato Entertainment, confirmed, "It is a project under review."

Han So-hee has been offered the role of Jules, originally played by Anne Hathaway in the 2015 film 'The Intern'. Directed by Nancy Meyers, the original American film tells the story of a passionate 30-something CEO, Jules (Anne Hathaway), whose company hires a seasoned 70-year-old intern, Ben (Robert De Niro).

Choi Min-sik is a strong contender for the role of the 70-year-old intern, Ben. Anthology Studio stated last June, "We are currently in the script development stage with Warner Bros. and are positively reviewing it," adding, "No specific details regarding the director or cast have been confirmed."

Warner Bros. initially pursued the Korean remake of 'The Intern' in 2020, but the project was shelved. Recently, discussions for its production have been reignited.

Han So-hee has confirmed her role in the film 'Project Y', marking her first foray into commercial cinema alongside actress Jeon Jong-seo. This project is notable as Han So-hee's first commercial film since her debut in 2017, and it has garnered attention for her collaboration with Jeon Jong-seo, with whom she shares a close friendship.

With the possibility of her starring in the 'The Intern' remake, industry insiders and the public are eager to see the chemistry between Han So-hee and Choi Min-sik.
