Actors Yu Deok-hwa and Yang Jo-wi reunite after 18 years in 'Goldfinger' ('Newsroom')
On the 10th, actors Yu Deok-hwa and Leung Tony, actors of the movie 'Goldfinger' (directed by Jang Moon-kang), appeared as guests on JTBC's 'Newsroom'.
On this day, Yoo Deok-hwa and Tony Leung mentioned that they had reunited in 'Goldfinger' for the first time in about 18 years since the 2003 film 'Infernal Affairs' (directed by Mac Jo-hwi). Regarding the reason for choosing the scenario, Deok-hwa Yoo said, "When I read the script, the structure and theme were very unique, and when I heard that the role of Cheong Yi-yen was Leung Leung, I immediately said I would do it." Leung-wi said, "It was different from the role I played before, and actor Deok-hwa Yu played it together. “When playing a good role, there are restrictions or rules, but it’s good because a villain can do anything,” he said.
Regarding what they want to be like in each other, Tony Leung praised, "I've thought about how actor Deok-Hwa Yoo is good at both singing and acting. He's great in every way," and Deok-Hwa Yoo said, "He solves everything, including work, life, and dreams, with a successful attitude. This is the part." “I want to learn,” he said, expressing his affection.
Lastly, the two people greeted their Korean fans. Tony Leung said, "I'll be meeting you all soon, and I hope you'll support 'Goldfinger' until I do." Yoo Deok-hwa said, "I haven't visited Korea for a really long time. If you have a good script or a director who wants to contact me, please contact me. Korea “I hope we can achieve our dreams in the film field together.”
