Movie 'Barton Academy' nominated in 5 categories at the 96th Academy Awards

The movie 'Barton Academy' (directed by Alexander Payne) was nominated in 5 categories at the 96th Academy Awards.

'Barton Academy' is the story of Paul, a history teacher, who stays at Barton Academy in 1970 when everyone left for Christmas, and Tully, a troubled child, who share heart-warming comfort while spending time with the chef, 'Mary'.

At the 96th Academy Awards, the 'Barton Academy' was nominated in a total of five categories, including Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Editing. Director Alexander Payne also won the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for his collaboration with Paul Giamatti on ‘Sideways.’

Actor Paul Giamatti played the role of Paul Hunnam, a stubborn but hard-to-hate character, and was nominated for the Best Actor Award. Actress Devine Joy Randolph was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role as chef Mary. Foreign media outlets also gave evaluations such as “Sharp, fresh and clever!” (The New York Times) and “The warmest cinematic experience of the year!” (New York Post).

The movie 'Barton Academy' is scheduled to be released in Korea on February 21st.
