Director Yorogos Lanthimos' film 'Poor Things' won Best Picture and Best Actress in the Musical or Comedy category at the 81st Golden Globe Awards.

At the 81st Golden Globe Awards held in the United States on January 7 (local time), 'Poor Things' won Best Picture and Best Actress in the Musical Comedy category. 'Poor Things' won the most prestigious Golden Lion Award at the 80th Venice International Film Festival.

Along with Best Picture (Musical Comedy Category), actress Emma Stone, who played the main character Bella Baxter, received the Best Actress Award (Musical Comedy Category) among nominees Alma Poisti, Fantasia Barrino, Jennifer Lawrence, Margot Robbie, and Natalie Portman. In particular, Emma Stone received the Best Actress Award (Musical Comedy Category) at the Golden Globe Awards for the second time after 'La La Land'.

The movie ‘Poor Things’ is scheduled to be released domestically in March 2024.
