Movie 'A Normal Family' officially invited to the 35th Palm Springs International Film Festival

The movie 'A Normal Family' (directed by Heo Jin-ho) was selected as an officially invited film in the 'Country Focus' section of the 35th Palm Springs International Film Festival.

'A Normal Family' is a film that tells the story of two brothers with different beliefs who accidentally encounter a terrible secret.

The Palm Springs International Film Festival is North America's premiere film festival held in Coachella Valley, California, USA. In particular, many of the works submitted to the Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film are receiving attention as they are screened prior to the awards ceremony. Director Park Chan-wook's 'Decision to Break Up' was invited to the 2023 International Feature Film Award competition section, director Bong Joon-ho's 'Parasite' won the 2020 International Association of Film Critics Screenplay Award, and 2019 director Lee Chang-dong's 'Burning' won the Oscar entry in the foreign language film category. I have been nominated.

The Country Focus section is a section that selects one country every year to screen anticipated and popular films, and in 2024, Korea was selected. It was invited along with ‘Cobweb’, ‘Concrete Utopia’, and ‘Sleep’.

The Palm Springs International Film Festival said, "'A Normal Family' feels like a delicious dish that combines drama and intensity well. Director Heo Jin-ho dramatically raises the stakes of the characters in the play and unfolds the process with ironic fun. “This makes this movie special,” he said. Director Heo Jin-ho will attend the film festival in person from January 5th to 9th.

The 35th Palm Springs International Film Festival will be held from January 4 to January 15.
