Actor Oh Seung-hoon said this repeatedly. “I always want to be pure and innocent.” Born in 1991, Oh Seung-hoon, now 33 years old, seems to have a boyish look on his face because he constantly strives to maintain that attitude.

Oh Seung-hoon played the role of Seo Young-rak in 'Believer 2', the mid-length sequel to 'Believer 1', which was released in 2018 and received much love. If Seo Young-rak, played by Ryu Jun-yeol in the previous work, was like a cold-hearted wolf with perfectly hidden expressions, Seo Young-rak, played by Oh Seung-hoon in 'Believer 2', is reminiscent of a lamb with a hint of innocence. Although Seo Young-rak has a very different feel, there are points where Oh Seung-hoon's unique aspects can be found.

On the 17th, 'Solo War 2' was released on Netflix and received various reviews. Among them, many of the criticisms were that it failed to continue the legacy of the previous film. When asked if he had looked for reviews, Oh Seung-hoon answered honestly, "I think I need to refine it more delicately and passionately. As the role of the main character that I played in 'Believer 2,' I have more responsibility for the work and for my actions."

Oh Seung-hoon, who was nervous but excited while meeting the audience for 'Believer 2', which premiered at the 28th Busan International Film Festival this year, said, "It was the first time I went back to Busan after 'Method'. I was nervous. But when I actually went, it was just as good. I love movies. “It was nice to go to a festival of people and filmmakers and exist as our film. There were many points where I wondered what it would be like after meeting the audience,” he said.

Oh Seung-hoon was selected from about 1,000 competitors in an audition for the role of Seo Young-rak, portrayed by actor Ryu Jun-yeol in the previous work. However, because I already had an image, acting in a new way was a burden. Seo Young-rak was criticized for not being in sync, but he said, "I think that's up to the audience. I guess he felt some regrets or shortcomings while acting. I was proud while working with Rock, and I never lied even for a moment." He confessed honestly.

Regarding the reason for choosing 'Believer 2', "I saw 'Believer 1' in the theater about three times. Above all, I was excited just to play Seo Young-rak, played by Ryu Jun-yeol. It was an opportunity to play an attractive character. “Wouldn’t you be happy as an actor? I had a chance to audition, and I think I fell in love with Rock while watching the audition.”

When asked what kind of character Seo Young-rak thought she was when acting, she said, "I was drawn to this friend's emptiness, loneliness, and loneliness. I thought she had a lot in common with me. I also asked myself, 'Why is this like this? Is it just a desire for revenge?' (For Rock) I think it started when he was 6 years old. I think he dug into it. That's why I think Rock wanted to be comforted by Wonho, who was the only one who felt the same way with him. I thought Rock was like, 'Have you ever tried love properly? He was so lonely. “It was unfortunate because I thought it existed,” he emphasized.

On set, he worked with seniors such as Cho Jin-woong, Cha Seung-won, and Han Hyo-joo and learned a lot while acting. Oh Seung-hoon said, "The director gave me the opportunity to do a reading with senior Cho Jin-woong. I had a lot of concerns, but after trying it out once, senior (Cho Jin-woong) said he liked it and hugged me. I gained a little courage and confidence. In the case of Cha Seung-won, the entire filming was done." “After this, there was a point where I had to film additional scenes by myself. My senior even helped me with angles that didn’t appear. When I acted with my senior, every moment was fun,” he said.

Actor Han Hyo-joo also created something new in 'Believer 2' with raw action. Oh Seung-hoon said, "(Acting with actress Han Hyo-joo) was a romantic moment. I was disappointed because it was a role that involved too much confrontation. First of all, while preparing for the action, I knew that my senior was good at it. I was worried that I might get hurt because I wasn't good enough, so I spent a very long time preparing with the martial arts team. "I remember doing it. I could see (Han Hyo-joo's) abs that had been moisturized. They looked like leather (laughter)," he said of the behind-the-scenes story.

Oh Seung-hoon, who debuted in 2013, is already in his 10th year as an actor. Before starting acting, he was a basketball player for a long time, but had to quit due to an unexpected injury. Oh Seung-hoon mentioned the reason why he started acting and his charms, saying, "When I was working out, having a poker face was important. I got scolded for being sad and scolded for being happy. When I first started acting, because it was a job that involved expressing emotions, I had the experience of being relieved. Yes. When acting, I am happy when I can communicate with the other person from an angle. I think I am happy when I look into the person's eyes and feel that person. That's why my acting got better at that moment," he said with a smile.

When asked about his direction as an actor or what kind of person he wants to become, he said, "I think learning is a material. I want to train myself well as an actor. I also want to live well in order to live well as an actor. I hope I will always be humble in front of my work. I hope I will always be pure. Cheonjin. “I want to do it. There are moments in life when I feel tired, and there are moments when I want to rest. I want to do everything I can to make my pure heart shine, whether through acting or work,” he expressed his aspirations.
