Lee Hee-jun Engages with Audiences Through Multiple GV Sessions for 'Rectangle, Triangle'
Recently, Lee Hee-jun presented his second directorial film, 'Rectangle, Triangle'. The 45-minute medium-length film captures the unfolding of long-standing family conflicts during a seemingly pleasant family gathering. Lee skillfully portrays the realistic faces of family dynamics on screen, capturing everyday relational conflicts with sharpness and humor.
'Rectangle, Triangle' was officially invited to the 26th Jeonju International Film Festival, earning early recognition for its artistic value. Following its release, director Lee Hee-jun personally organized multiple GV sessions, with actors he has worked with readily agreeing to participate, facilitating meaningful conversations with the audience.
The film intricately weaves in influences from Roman Polanski's 'Carnage', lectures by Buddhist monk Beopryun, and Lee's own experiences with dishwashing and ancestral rites at his in-laws, showcasing his interests and forming a relatable narrative. As a realistic family drama, it presents Lee Hee-jun's new directorial vision.
The GV journey for 'Rectangle, Triangle' will conclude on the 6th with appearances by Jin Seon-kyu, Kwon So-hyun, Oh Yong, Jung Yeon, and Jung Jong-jun.
