MOVIE
'Count' Jin Seon-gyu, the 'top' of burden and worry

On the morning of the 30th, a production briefing session for the movie 'Count' (directed by Kwon Hyuk-jae) was held at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. Director Kwon Hyuk-jae, actors Jin Seon-gyu, Seong Yu-bin, Oh Na-ra, Go Chang-seok, and Jang Dong-ju attended the event.
'Count', which will be released in February, is the story of Si-heon (played by Jin Seon-gyu), a former gold medalist and My Way teacher who never lets go once he bites, and how he meets a ragtag group of hack-ass students and delivers a delightful blow to the world.

On this day, Director Kwon Hyuk-jae said, "Our movie is a cheerful and warm story about Si-heon, who was a boxing gold medalist in 1998, gave up his dream of boxing and now lives his own life as an ordinary physical education teacher. He grows up while struggling with a ragtag group of rebellious producers. “Do it,” he introduced.
Jin Seon-gyu, who plays the role of My Way teacher Si-heon, a gold medalist, said, "When I received the scenario for 'Count' four years ago, the scenario itself was very interesting. It contained many things related to me. It is the story of Jinhae, my hometown, and I have never been an actor before. “It was the role of a physical education teacher that I dreamed of,” he said.

Oh Na-ra, who plays Si-heon's wife, has a long relationship with Jin Seon-gyu. Oh Na-ra said, "The most important thing is that when I heard that Jin Seon-gyu was playing the main character, I was determined to join in. It must have been nearly 20 years ago, but I have a deep connection with Jin Seon-gyu. I have memories of performing on stage."
Oh Na-ra said, "I always felt good when I met Seon-gyu on stage. We got along well. At that time, I said, 'Seon-gyu, let's meet in a movie later.' “It’s good. I don’t know if you’ll laugh if I say this, but Jin Seon-gyu is an actor who doesn’t have a stomach ache because it’s done well. I’m happy that it’s done well and he’s a good actor,” he said, expressing his affection.

Seong Yu-bin, an unwavering prospect with both resistance and skill, took on the challenge through 'Count'. He said, "I had to move my body a lot, and doing action was always the right thing to do. I wanted to show masculinity. I hadn't had a role like that before, but I took on the challenge. Also, playing sports was a big challenge."
Jang Dong-ju, who plays the role of Hwan-ju, an over-indulgent person who is obsessed with the end once he gets hooked, said, "He appears as a bully, but if you keep watching him, he is a character you have to hate to be able to hate him." He added, "The most memorable and memorable line from Hwan-ju is the one he tells Yoon-woo, 'I have a sense of rivalry with you. “I feel it.’ Yunwoo never thinks of Hwanju as a rival. His strength is that he is like a carbonated drink that doesn’t know where it will go.”

Jin Seon-gyu said, "When I came here to introduce the movie, I said that it was my first time sitting next to (Park) Kyung-lim. I was so nervous and felt pressured. I was like that on set, but my colleagues were so well-organized that they made up for my shortcomings well. “I think we will promote it together. I am grateful that the other actors are filling in,” he said repeatedly.
Why did director Kwon Hyuk-jae cast Jin Seon-gyu? Director Kwon Hyuk-jae said, "I think it was fate. When I first met this story and was writing the scenario, actor Jin Seon-gyu was in my heart. Si-heon has a background in Jinhae, speaks dialect, and also likes boxing. Actor Jin Seon-gyu is loved by the public. He expressed his satisfaction, saying, "As an actor who received a lot of money and had a strong personality, he was the right person. I sang, 'I wish I could work with that person.' I made the offer cautiously, and when he readily accepted, it was Destiny, and I felt like I had won a thousand battles." Not only that, he said, “The actors were warm, so it was fun to film.”
