A behind-the-scenes look at the scene where Leonardo DiCaprio gets hit by Robert De Niro in the movie 'Flower Killing Moon' has been revealed.

According to Variety on the 23rd (local time), cinematographer Rodrigo Prieto responded to the scene in Martin Scorsese's film 'Flower Killing Moon' where Robert De Niro has to hit Leonardo DiCaprio.

In an interview with Insider, 'Flower Killing Moon' cinematographer Rodrigo Prieto explained that Leonardo DiCaprio wore butt padding for a scene where he was hit by Robert De Niro. Rodrigo Prieto added that he thought "this is going to hurt" on set.

During production, Leonardo DiCaprio was said to be open to trying anything director Martin Scorsese asked. Rodrigo Prieto said of the beating scene, "I don't think it was in the first script."

Rodrigo Prieto also answered how he completed the opening scene with oil exploding in the Osage River. “Scorsese kept talking about oil rising into the air,” Prieto noted.

The movie 'Flower Killing Moon' is based on a true story that happened to the Osage tribe, who suddenly gained enormous wealth through oil in the early 20th century. The Ernest Burkhart character, played by Leonardo DiCaprio, is a man who makes a big plan to steal the wealth of the Osage tribe. Additionally, William Hale, played by Robert De Niro, is Ernest's uncle and controls his nephew Ernest.
