1st Anniversary of the Late Kang Soo-yeon ‘Kang Soo-yeon, A Glorious Long Life’ Memorial Exhibition

You can now see the major works of the late actress Kang Soo-yeon.

According to the late Kang Soo-yeon Memorial Project Promotion Committee on the 13th, the Memorial Project Promotion Committee (hereinafter referred to as the Memorial Committee) was launched to mark the first anniversary of the late Kang Soo-yeon's death. A total of 28 filmmakers who worked with the deceased during his lifetime were named on the memorial committee, including the deceased's younger brother, Kang Soo-kyung, honorary chairman director Im Kwon-taek, promotion committee chairman Kim Dong-ho, and vice-chairmen Park Jung-hoon and Ye Ji-won.

The memorial committee will promote the achievements and status of actress Kang Soo-yeon from the perspective of 2023 by publishing a screening of the deceased's major works and a memorial book titled 'Kang Soo-yeon, gloriously long time'.

The screening of ‘Kang Soo-yeon, gloriously long’ will be held at the Film Archive on May 6th and at Megabox Seongsu from May 7th to May 9th. The opening films ‘Seed Catcher’ (1986), ‘Mimi and Cheolsu’s Youth Sketch’ (1987), ‘Ajeje Baraje’ (1989), ‘Road to the Racecourse’ (1991), ‘Blue in You’ (1992), ‘Musoui’ ‘Go Alone Like a Horn’ (1995), ‘Dinner of the Maidens’ (1998), ‘Trout’ (1999), ‘Raising Moonlight’ (2010), ‘Juri’ (2013), and ‘Jungi’ (2023). 11 episodes will be screened separately. Along with the screening of the work, various events and activities are also being prepared. The memorial book is being prepared for release around the end of April.
